Ravello Bar & Grill is a fine-dining restaurant offering the winning combination of a modern American steakhouse and an Italian trattoria. Our menu features a variety of dishes from handcut USDA prime aged steaks and chops to fresh seafood and Italian pasta favorites, Neapolitan style brick-oven baked pizzas, and decadent desserts.
Classically designed to have a warm, evocative aesthetic, Ravello’s spacious dining room, Italian granite-topped full bar, glass enclosed patio and private dining rooms make it the perfect place for all occasions, whether it’s a quiet night out with friends and family, a gourmet dinner meeting with clients and co-workers, a date night or a wedding reception – for all those occasions and more we want you to know that when you visit Ravello providing you with the best dining experience possible will always be our goal.
The Ravello Bar & Grill team is led by Michael Burkhardt who named Ravello after his favorite coastal Italian resort city where “hospitality from the heart” is the service standard and top-quality menu ingredients are farmed and harvested locally – always fresh.
After selecting the Uptown District of Whittier, CA as the location for his new Italian fine dining restaurant Michael worked with the international award winning design firm, Ware Malcomb, to create a perfect setting for the casual fine dining concept he had developed. Key members of the Ravello team are Carlos Escalante, Ravello’s Executive Chef, and Patrick Kolonoski, our General Manager.
Chef Carlos Escalante has worked as Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef at some of Pasadena’s best known fine dining restaurants including: Parkway Grill; Smitty’s Grill; and The Italian Fisherman. With fresh locally-sourced ingredients favored in the creation of his menus, and with his passion for the cuisine of Italy, Chef Escalante and his staff will provide you and your guests with consistently fine quality modern Italian cuisine each time you dine at Ravello Bar & Grill.
When it comes to the planning of top quality banquet events and private party dining Ravello’s General Manager, Patrick Kolanoski, has been there and done that. In 2009 Patrick received the So Cal Restaurant Writers Assn. award as Food & Beverage Director of the Year. His work as a manager in all phases of the hospitality industry has focused on guest satisfaction at both hotels and restaurants.
